how do you choke down that much oats?? I can't fucking stand them after eating them once a day for 5 days

lol @ calling sierra mist a clean food.

I figured a guy of your size would have to eat more. You got some good genetics

I eat them raw. I can eat half a cup in a few bites.

raw raw or in some other way??

cuz i'm thinking about doing that as well... but i've done oats in cold water and just choking them down and it wasn't all that enjoyable

Adida always seems intent on pushing me toward the peptides...
:insane2: although i have never used HGH it is deffinetly something I would be willing to use if i had the cash. being 30 probably helps with this decsion (sp) too, LOL. although like you I am unsure of my actual feeling of IGF...there seems to be so many differring opinions about it.

I eat them dry uncooked with a drink of liquid so they soften in my mouth.

One thing all the opinions have in common: no one ever rants and raves about the great gains they got on IGF.

Guys don't hesitate to use dextrose and they call that clean.

I ate a shitload of sugars today (using insulin) but almost no fat. I ate clean today.

I do suppose the definition of clean varies by person and their needs.

Don't get me wrong; complex carbs are good but it is very possible to reach non-contest goals using sugar as one of your carbs.

It has worked for me. When I wanted to lose serious fat I dropped almost all the sugar, but when I'm not cutting I don't see a purpose. I've never been a ripped guy and I'm sure that has something to do with it. But I am the guy who lifts weights no one else at the gym would look at. I think that has something to do with it as well.

If you add them to your shake and mix it in a blender they chop up pretty fine and go down easy.

Too lazy to even do that. Not worth dirtying the blender. Sometimes for work I will mix dry protein and oats in a 32 oz gatorade bottle then when I want to drink it fill it up with water, shake, oats soften and drink.

Nice journal. I see you do an upper/lower split. I was thinking of doing this split, rotating b/w strength and hypertrophy workouts while using the upper/lower method.

anyhoo, good numbers

That's exactly what I do. I like it better than any split I've done. Thanks for the compliments.

Upper body strength

bench 135 x10 225 x5 275 x5 315 x3 345 x1 x4 - needed a little help locking the last one
bb rows 135 x8 225 x5 275 x5 315 x3 385 x4
standing military 135 x8 185 x3 205 x8
forearm work
superset w/ bb shrugs 205 x15 x20 x20

F-ing strong rows. one thing that has never been strong for me is my back. i can hypertrophy it just could never row very well. I must be all slow twitch fibre in the back.

My routine is setup very close to yours. the only difference is i jump twice a week and i have two speed lifts to increase a fast rate of force development.. SLDLs are pretty diesel too
