new here...starting up a log...i'm 6-0, 325. my goal is to smash a 2500 total.

***...had a lot of rough things goin on at the moment but i'm tired of it and i'm goin to change some shit. did some squats the other nite in a new squat suit and it can work...just gotta take in the sides a bit. last nite did some accy work. was by myself so i had to make due with a lot of hammer strength stuff. i might be able to resume the gillespie routine next week since i will be with my training partners. oh and the side laterals were flippin easy this week. the 120s were light! a lot of my shoulder/trap work from these when i go heavy. sunday i will be trying my 2ply rage x(new one) so we will see what happens then...
 
Sup beastx? Welcome to the board. Not many plers around here glad you came on. Are you going to be keeping your training log here? How old are you yrs training etccc?

BeastX... I'm glad you came through. It's nice to have people on here who are into more than super-setting 185lb Bench Presses and 35lb Incline DB Flys to get a good pump on a Friday before they hit the club. I'd love to hear more about your training philosophy, etc as I'm sure you have some valuable information. I'm new to powerlifting myself and I'm working out some kinks in my lifting program and healing up some injuries before I go balls out, but any information you have is going to help a lot of people out there. If nothing else, I'd love for you to accurately log your training so we can see what an Elite lifter trains like.

Are you going to compete at 308?
 
You are on a different level than most of us. Those weights are making my joints ache. I'm not cut out to be a power lifter but I like to incorporate some of it into my training. I look forward to your log, I'm sure I can learn something.

haha! i use anything that works. as i started out i used westside barbell stuff...good stuff if you want to get your good morning and rack lockouts stronger but wasn't gettin shit as far as the big 3. it was good to start out with it though cause it did build a good base.

i took some of the methods of WSB that worked. i do train with a barbell club here in alabama. i'm still learning myself but i've don metal militia training which i learned how to use gear and even with anything else, metal militia training still works. i do use bands a lot because they help with speed. if you can't move weight with speed, your using more strength than you need to. right now i'm bein coached by two of the biggest names in the sport right now and learning a lot from them.

i plan on changing things up here in a few weeks so we will see. got a meet coming up in 7 weeks and time to streamline my accy day. been fuckin aronud too much and need to get my shit together so keep watchin...meanwhile since your startin out...hit me up with any questions you got!

there is always a way to evolve...joints aching is just a bump in the road. gotta work around that shit since it can't get better. i've been there and just gotta hit that shit smarter. i believe there is always a way...just gotta find it and you will find it here. i hope i can help in the meantime. i'm not cut out to be normal...that's fine by me.

- tonite was a session to get me to learn how to touch weight in the new shirt...breakin it in since it now fits better than it did earlier this year. i have to learn how to bring the bar down faster which that's what got me to touch 545 off 1-board. keep in mind, the weight bein as light as it is was hard for me to touch. its like loading up spring with a feather. this is why the weights were low for me. this is what i needed. so tonite was a stepping stone even though i'm fuckin ready to murder some weight right now. squat day is up next.

- trained with my other two partners over in t-town which was great. really taught me to just have some fuckin fun while pushin some fuckin weights. the raw bench day went very well. 465 i paused and repout with 390 was awesome too. the block pulls were very strong. next time i will get 765 for sure...its there. the test booster from lgsciences is the shit!!
