Cut Diet and getting Abs showing

yeah welt i have similar goals, to lean down roughly to 7%(ill post pics then)
and after goal is reached a clean bulk/strength gain diet, should take me too long to get to 7%, just gotta keep following my diet, when you start your clean bulking can you post your diet in full as a point of reference to me, keep up the good work

Sure thing buddy. Im still kinda debating whether to clean bulk now or drop another % or two then bulk. Ill wait for a critique from 3J then make a decision.

Ill post up my expected diet as soon as I have it ready.
 
i shall be starting my cutting process and training on monday, im excited...still kinda nervous about the diet, seems like alot of food to be cutting, but imma trust 3j.. ur thread was interesting welter

It is a lot of food but its a lot of the right food. People always say i can believe your eating again... Why do you eat so much..... How do you eat so much and not gain weight.....

If you eat the right food spread out throughout the day and work hard the weight will disappear nicely. Key is hard work and clean eating.

Workin hard as I can through this back pain. Was much better today, but now feel like I'm comin down with the cold my girls have had. If it aint one thing its another. Great to hear from you bud

I started today, will try to keep 3j posted on the diet he helped create for me, does it matter how many hours are between each meal? or if they are the same time everyday? or is it okay as long as i have my 6 meals a day?

You should try to spread it out. I try to eat every two to three hours. You want the body to have it's macros spread somewhat evenly.

Btw: there's a post somewhere on here where 3j suggests splitting Protein up equally among all 6 meals, carbs should be split among first 4 meals (I think) last meal should be EFA/protein. Try not to mix EFA/carbs and carbs late are only ok pwo. Also really the only time you should eat a simple carbs is .

3J will chime in if I gave some bad info I'm sure :-)

all good advice... unless you workout at night... then u would not eat carbs mid day and save them for pre and post workout

Good advice bud. 2-3 hrs is my meal spread also, sometimes a little longer between 1 and 2 but never longer than 3.5 hrs. I Dont have any trouble eating everything with this spread, but if i miss and try to compensate I get bloated and feel like shit, so I learned real quick to stick to the plan. My pro. are also spread pretty even throughout the day, my meal after workout is usually a little higher(not my pwo which consits of bagel and pro shake but the next meal) anyways just wanted to add my 2 cents. good advice tho Welt
 
well its now day two, i wasnt hungry much throughout the day but i finished it..only thing i cheated on was putting a little of bbq sauce on my chickens...i just finished breakfast on day two...so i guess by the end of the week i should look on the scale to see how my body is reacting? or should i wait two weeks
 
oh and i usaully eat breakfast at 10 in the morning..and my last meal (meal 6) is usually at 10 pm is that okay?

Therein lies the problem. I live by the motto go big or go home, unfortunately this week its applying to my food choices......

(Really only 2 bad days but they were BAD) the rest of the week has been pretty clean, salads with chicken oil/vinegar, lot of eggs and oatmeal (Instant I know it sux but its better than some of my other choices) and alot of beef jerkey. The sodium is killing me but that will work itself out in a few days.

Jambalaya, gumbo, crawfish etouffe, oysters.....

Ive used this week as my rest week but continued my cardio every morning and night for an hour each session so doing 2 hours a day. gonna be very interesting to see my weight on my scale when i get home. I know I put a few pounds on, i can feel it. Im just hoping the extra cardio minimizes the damage a little bit.

Ok so my days on the road are ending tomorrow (home for the next 3 weeks) so now it's back to hard core cut until I can clean up these extra lbs I know I put on.

3j, what would be the minimum calories I could eat without losing lbm. I'm assuming my BMR/TDEE is about the same as it was a few weeks ago
