its all part of that 8X8 work out..designed to help with fat loss?? i figure it cant hurt. http://www.fitren.com/res3art.cfm?compid=18&artid=90 i am not following it to the letter, but i am utilizing its princable idea's. i am going to combine 5x5 and 8x8 together for awhile to see how it goes.

and i understand the thing about the dbl chin and extra BF..just dont let it get outta control. when you get up to my age it becomes much harder to get rid of it.lol. slow and steady for the bulk is how it should go. 2-3 lbs a week if possible. same with fat loss too.

felt good in the gym..lots of energy. rest was kept short between sets, due to wt used. next time all wts get moved up.

did 100 yrd dash bout 75-80% effert X 4 the 1st 2 100 yrd dashes i did 10 push up's per corner for 40 total push ups
then went to do 50 yrd sprints all out effert x4-5 sprints
**i tell you what i felt like grizzlie bear trying to run a 50...i was smoked**
i spent maybe 25-30 total min running like this..then my and my oldest son (8 yoa)threw the football for about 20 min..over good cardio and father/son time :)

Very nice job so far w/ the quick sets.

I need to start doing some abs, I've been pushing them aside because of my bulking phase.
 
yesterdays w/o and sprints have my abs, obliques, quads, hams, glutes and calves all jacked up today...lol but it feels good...although i can barely walk right now.
i will still be hitting the gym later today. (MAYBE)

oh btw i haven't noticed the prob you described with the cable crunches with the pec muscles pushing up on the throat area. I'll pay attention and see if i feel anything tomorrow.
