Tons of blood came out of my shins today!! I think i need to wear pants from now on, I'm a bleader... No Bouncing off my knees on the way down. It was great to return to real deads and my form was spot on. I am happy again. And someone read part of my journal (thanks ectomorph), so I am famous, which makes me happy.

My form felt spectacular today!! I felt really solid. I moved my hands out on the bar, which improved my balance (left/right, I used to lean to the left a bit), I also stopped worring about being leaned back super far... I think i was leaned forward a bit but not as bad as before, also I did not in any way toss the weight onto my back, and this is really why I feel so good. I used my legs to lift this weight, all leg. May have been leaned forward but I didn't pop my ass up first, I FEEL HAPPY!!! We will see if this holds. On a sad note I will be doing more cardio as my weight is out of control (sadly it is not muscle, as my diet has gone south with all the time I have been traveling lately).

Deads were OK, I am at the point where my form starts to break down and I shift the weight to my back. I'll do 245 again next week, I suspect it won't be a big deal. Not having a day off this week between chest and back days was killer, I think thats why my secondary lifts were down.
 
if you having probs breaking the floor with the weights using quads perhaps some pause squats will be in order of paused leg presses. or pull off of blocks.

Just got done pulling off 3" blocks... I'm testing the water so to speak with the deads, I think I will see good progress but am contemplating moving back to DL off 3" blocks. Also my squats are pause squats (as per your recommendation a while ago). I am so weak in the legs it suprised me... I can't belive how much of the work on squats and DL that I had been doing whit my lower back. I figure by summer I will have form down and can start really working towards my ultimate goals... 225 bench, 315 squat, 415 DL.

I am so never doing DL when I am sick again. That was stupid. I had hella trouble breaking the floor today. It's time to play a game!!! What would PB do?

1) Say "How tall are you son? 5'4" I didn't know they stack shit that high?!? You tryin to squeeze an inch in on me?
2) Say "DL off 3" blocks for 4 weeks, now git."

I'm going with #2.

Form for squat was hella good. Tryed Box Squats off my new box from NY Barbell... box is toooo talllll!!! :( ("I told you so") Hmmmm... also unsure about form but they felt good, mostly leg.
