6' even. i was 320ish last dec but have trimmed down to 285ish. best equipped lifts are:

squat 925
bench 675
dead 804

these #s have all been hit in the last couple of months. im 47 years old.

thanks aboot. i can already tell my pling training is lacking in some areas for strong man training. hopefully ill be ready and do a repectable job come 7/29. either way ill have fun and enjoy the experience. i been wanting to try strong man for several years now. one of the guys at my gym has several of the implements so ill get to train those at some point.
 
5/11/06 thurs:
conventional deads, 495# x 12, raw no belt w/straps
power cleans 225# 3 x 4reps
reverse hyper 360# + two #3 bands 2 x 10reps
seated cable row narrow grip, 300# 10, 8
kettlebells 70# 1 arm swings 2 x 8reps, 1 arm snatches 2 x 8reps,
sciatic stretch w/35# kettlebell.

had a nice surprise today on grip strength. pulled 495 dbl overhand and did about a 10 second static hold. guess the kettlebell work is adding to my grip strength.

i have stabilized at 285 or so. id have to start playing with my carbs or add some more cardio to drop some more weight. but i guess ill stay here, dont matter either way. id may drop another 20 by the end of the year. i havent been that light since 2001. we'll start dragging the sled/truck again fo long.

thanks guys. not bad for an old has been. :D

skipped todays training. shoulders are a little beat up. 4 days of rest and ill be ready for a full week next week. went in and handed off for the guys on their heavy bench day. my boy smoked a 725 today off a 2 board.

cybex back attack 305# + #4 band dbld, 2 x 20reps
calves 2 sets to failure
kettlebell 70# 1 arm swings 3 x 16reps
sciatic stretch w/KBs, standing and laying.

the reason i did the smyth is cause i tried again to do them regular. the bar kills my delts once i get to 405. so anyway the smyth worked out. however the zerchers are tough from well below parralel and may be better siuoted for the strong man stuff. esp loading stones.
