well I tweaked my hammie toinight warming up for some posterior core work, so….

seated cable face pulls 210# 7,5
pull aparts green band 2 x 20reps
 
nothing serious. just a twinge so i stopped. should be fine by mondays squat. travis wants us to come train with him EOW and he'll come to our gym on the opposite sundays for squats and deads. looks like im back at my old gym for the most part now. kyle talked to me tonight and basically asked me to come back full time. hard to tell him and travis no. travis' gym is sweet as is kyle's. should be doing a full power meet before the years out to qualify for the seniors next year then hopefully the wpo next oct/06. i'd def be the oldest lifter there. tel joel to stay shw less he wants that hiney spanked. :D

and yes the atavar is perfect rc.

Glad to hear you'll be right back in business. TeamSniffy would hate to put you on the DL. I'm not sure if he was kidding or not but he said he's retired from full meet now. I know for sure there's nothing in the immediate pipeline other than a January bench meet to qualify for the Arnold next year. If he is serious, maybe I can convince him otherwise if I tell him I'll do a meet of my own. I'll tell Chris to move on up to SHW too since you'll smoke all three if they were in your class. Maybe you should eat your way up and do it anyway. :druggie:
 
if anything ill drop down to the 275s before i move up to shw. i weighed 295 this am. so i only got lose 10lbs to be able to make weight for 275s at an apf meet. 10lbs dehydrate is no prob over night.

joel serious about quitting full power? damn he just started. well if he goes bench only i'll never beat him less he has a bad day or bombs out.

I get it - you're gonna move down to 275 since that will be my weight class soon, right?

I know he's still gonna train 4 days per week so maybe he was joking - or in a holding pattern. I asked him if there's anything planned and as I said, he said the only think definite is to qualify for the Arnold bench only for next year. I have to talk to him about representing the team.
 
i think 700 is the qualifying bench for anyone 242 and above. he'll get that no prob as he already has a 750 under his belt from a couple of years ago.

you talk to him about helping you with your bench technique?

one reason im dropping down is cause the wpo qualifying total is 67lbs less for the 275s than the 308s. i been in the middle of the 308s for several years so i either need to gain or lose. i feel better when im lighter. i got down to 279 a couple of years ago when i was gonna make the switch and then got injured again. i was 315 in just a few months after that. hog that i am. :D

plus the 275s are considered heavy weight and 308 and up is shw in the open wpo classes

same principal as bands cept tougher as the stabilizers are hit pretty hard which is lacking in band work, esp on squats and deads.

when you do your seated cable rows, what grip do you use ?

i use a very narrow grip on one of those v handles, stay completely upright and pull it to my belly. i do these from time to time. first time i have done them in at least 6 months.
 
hey pullin big i dont got bands, but i use dumbells rear delt raises while sitting down and keeping my torso almost parallel to the floor (hard to explain) might try that 2x20 with light ass weight.

or do them on an incline bench face down.
