well i did my first full power meet.i had a blast and there is no day in the gym compared to the beating i took at the meet.i got home yesterday played with the kids for a minute and went to bed about 5 pm to 730 this morning.i needed it.i totaled 1125#'s wanted 1200#'s and went for it but had some redlights.had some brainfarts which caused me lifts like racking before getting the command on bench and moving a foot before getting the rack command on the squat,and missed a couple lifts.i had a blast set my mett pr's and now its time to break em.i took 1st place in the mens 30-34 yo 275# division and 2nd in the overall open.i weighed in at 250.6#'s.my lifts and lights went like this
squat
1 315 3 whites
2 365 3 whites
3 405 3 reds moved my foot before the rack command
4 405 2 whites and a red got a 4th becaus eof a state record
bench
1 315 3 reds racked before command crushed the lift though
2 315 3 whites a little slower but still killed it
3 365 3 reds got it halfway and died
4 365 3 reds same
dead
1 365 3 whites
2 405 3 whites
3 455 3 reds got to the top and couldnt lock more of a grip problem that anything
4 455 3 reds same
totaled 1125#'s
i started light and next time more weight will go up!back to the gym baby i can now call myself a true powerlifter!
 
it was recorded and when i get the dvd i will try to get some vids up.i ahve put some vifds on another board and haven't had much sucess getting them to play so well see.

man the weight is flying on these!i'm very happy.the progression for this workout was to go 355#'s for my last set of 5 but the 345#'s were so light i hit 365# then did another set of 375# because the 345# felt like a warm up.

damn bro i must have missed this post. nice work. and congrats on the PL meet and the placement you got.

i dotn go 2 in a row but i had a old partner come to lift with me so we did the damn thing.i might change up to a 2 on 1 off 2 on 2 off thing though.

first day back in a long time.i been working 2 fulltime jobs for 2 weeks now and just been to poped to lift.it's all over now!the training should be back on track.
